About Haymarket Consumer Media

Haymarket Studios is part of the Haymarket Consumer Media Group.

From its origins in the late 1950s as the publisher of Britain's first general interest men's magazine, Town, Haymarket has grown to become the largest privately owned magazine publisher in the United Kingdom.

The company's early development in the mid-1960s was based on business publications such as Management Today and Campaign, both of which remain core titles in Haymarket's portfolio. These publications were characterised by the high quality of editorial and design, which set Haymarket aside from its competitors.

The move into consumer magazines was based on the same principles of editorial and design excellence, as well as providing an authoritative and independent view of subjects for our readers. Magazines such as Autosport and What Car? laid the foundation for Haymarket's consumer appeal, with subsequent magazines such as FourFourTwo and Stuff demonstrating our ability to move into new areas while still providing readers with the same expertise and quality.

It was our position in motoring and motorsport that led to our expansion into exhibitions in 1990, with Autosport International. Since then, as well as increasing the range of our own exhibitions both in the UK and internationally, we have also formed partnerships with other organisations, such as the BBC and the Royal Agricultural Society, to manage their branded exhibitions.
